Turning Intrusive Thoughts, Worries and Fears into Art

At the start of 2020, I was really struggling with my mental health, as did many people around the world due to the Global Pandemic. I struggled to get back into journaling everyday to track my mood. That became difficult when I quit my job (to have more time to find a better one) just as the initial lockdown began. Since I had way too much time on my hands, lived alone for the first time in my life, and every single day had felt the same so I definitely lost my marbles. The constant intrusive thoughts and self-sabotaging behaviors only got worse and every journal entry had started to sound the same. I very quickly gave up on journaling for a while and instead, started painting and drawing a lot more to deal with my overwhelming emotions. Painting, drawing or scribbling my feelings out was a lot easier than writing my feelings. So I began to work on an alternative form of journaling that combines with some art therapy.
Originally, since they were journals, I thought I would keep them private. I filled up an entire medium-sized hardcover book completely. I never expected that I'd share what I made but I really liked how it turned out. These are only some of the few out of the 50+ pages that I made.
